Lindsay Smith is the CEO and founder of Massive Media, a digital strategy and social video marketing company. Drawing on extensive experience in communications and information technology, Lindsay and her team help companies extract clear insights from their online marketing campaigns.
She was awarded by Business In Vancouver Magazine as a Top Forty Under 40 for outstanding achievement in business and was nominated for Woman of Vision at the Canadian New Media Awards.
As a regular guest expert on Global TV’s News Hour and Shaw TV’s Studio 4, she evangelizes new technologies and digital living. Lindsay recently joined the Board of the BC America Marketing Association as the Director of Vision, an annual conference that attracts hundreds of senior marketers from across the province who participate in the development of forward thinking marketing strategies. Lindsay is also sits on the advisory board for Social Media Week, an organization that advances the use of social media in business.
Prior to starting Massive Media in 2005, Smith was the CEO and co-founder of Techvibes.com, a portal that markets high-tech companies to the masses. Smith was also the Executive Producer of some of Canada’s largest technology tradeshows including the Massive Tech Show and the F5 Expo from 2003 to 2010.
From 2007 to 2009, Lindsay was the co-host and executive producer of GetConnected Television (BNN and City TV). She also co-hosted GetConnected Radio (Corus Radio Network) demystifying technology for listeners across Canada. From 2004 to 2009, Smith sat on the National board of directors for Wired Woman, a Canadian association for women in technology. There she volunteered her time as CTO until she was elected to President of the association in 2005 where she actively supported women in IT for over 3 years.
Considered an expert in her field, Smith has been quoted countless times by local and national media. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences from Simon Fraser University and resides in Vancouver, BC.

Alan Jones is the Vice President of Global Sales at Atimi Software, Inc. Before joining Atimi, Alan worked in some of the largest technology companies in the world including Apple Canada and Hewlett-Packard. At Apple, Alan served as Education Account Manager where he was named one of the top sales performers in prospecting new business, building account relationships and leading the sales cycle to closure in the marketing of Apple technology and tools to educational institutes.
In 2010, Alan was the recipient of the Eddie Award for outstanding achievement in North America.
Prior to Apple Canada, Alan acted as Senior Account Manager for Hewlett-Packard’s Imaging and Printing Division where he strengthened client relationships across Western Canada.
Atimi Software is a Vancouver software company that develops mobile application software and provides consulting services.
Founded in 2001, Atimi began as a cross-platform desktop application porting and development company. Although Atimi developed and ported for the Macintosh, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, their area of focus has always been the Macintosh operating system.
Atimi first began development of smart phone applications in 2008, when they developed three apps for the launch of the App Store; the New York Times Reader, advertorial for Time Warner’s ‘The Dark Knight’, and the mobile version of Etch A Sketch. Kumiko Ide is a Senior Manager and Digital Strategist at Tribal DDB – a branch of DDB Canada’s digital offering that also includes Radar DDB. She manages the execution of social online campaigns, provides strategic thinking in a multi-platform capacity and identifies new trends, tools, and technologies for clients such as Benefit Cosmetics, the Canadian Tourism Commission, Tourism Kelowna and the Vancouver Convention Centre. In the past, she has also provided media training and online strategy work for Microsoft, HP, Disney, and LG Electronics.
She is the 2011 recipient of the Notable Young Professional Award (Category: Social Media).

Karyn has led the company to be a leading user experience firm with offices in Vancouver and Seattle.
With over 12 years experience designing information spaces and supported by a Master’s in Publishing, Karyn brings a solid foundation of experience and education to her role as Director of User Experience.
She has provided the strategic information design direction and insights for such significant projects as the PHSA Intranet Redesign, the BCCDC website redesign, TransLink’s website redesign, TransLink’s Trip Planner redesign, SportFitcanada.com redesign, and DYS Architects. Karyn has also worked with AT&T to help refine their usability testing requirements for data-driven devices, as well as oversees the user research ADGi does for multiple device vendors such a Research in Motion (BlackBerry), Palm (now HP), Samsung, and Sony Ericsson.

Karyn has driven the development of a proprietary web-based tool that ADGi has developed that allows them to remotely test information architecture prototypes. This tool has been instrumental in helping them to design outstanding information architectures that are evidence-based.

J Joly is the CEO/Founder of Interactive Mediaand the creator of dimeRocker.com, a branded social game platform built specifically to support the Unity game engine and serve as a single centralized platform designed to simplify the deployment to social networks and manage monetization.

From his first job working at a cinema on a Canadian base in Germany, J has spent two decades working in media. During his undergraduate at Queen’s he founded a recording group that toured with acts such as The Tragically Hip, Wilco, and Primus. After graduation he directed award-winning shorts, worked as a stage manager at the “Just for Laughs” festival and at every level of production on films, television and commercials in Toronto.
